1. Can a loan be taken from my Retirement Fund?
No. Loans are not permitted with the exception of a housing loan facility that uses your retirement fund as surety for the loan. For more information on Home Loans – click here.
2. How can I see my Fund Value?
The Fund value is referred to as your Fund Credit. You can view your Fund Credit on EBS Africa Online.

3. When can I change my Fund options?
General Members are allowed to change their Fund options in the beginning of each year,
during the Compensation and Benefits Change Period.
General Members may change the following options:
- Percentage Contribution Rate
- Additional Voluntary Contribution [AVC]
- Group Life Assurance [GLA]

4. How do I update my Nomination of Beneficiary Form?
Complete the Fund Nomination of Beneficiary Form. Submit the original form to your HR Business Partner, and upload a copy to EBS Africa Online.

5. May I withdraw my benefit while I am still employed at DSV?
No, you may not withdraw any of your benefit will still employed by DSV. It is a condition of your employment that you are a member of the Fund while you are employed by DSV. This means that you may not withdraw your benefits from the Fund while you are working for DSV.
6. What are the tax implications on taking my Fund Credit in cash on withdrawal or retirement?
The portion of your Fund Credit taken in cash will be taxed. Tax is calculated according to the appropriate tax table.
7. Which member category do I belong to?
NBC Member: A person in the employment of DSV and whose job grade falls within the Road freight NBC grading. For more information on NBC Member Benefits – click here.
General Member: A person in the employment of DSV, who has either been appointed as permanent staff or is employed on the basis of a fixed term contract, and who is not an Road freight NBC grade employee. For more information on General Member Benefits – click here.
