Application Process

What is the application process?

Start with the documents you need

  • Your latest Retirement Fund Benefit Statement or current fund value
  • Certified copy of your South African ID document or Smart ID Card
  • Latest one month payslip (two if paid fortnightly, four if paid weekly)
  • Latest Proof of Residence (not older than 2 months)
  • Latest three months stamped bank statement (if not banking with FNB)
  • If married, the above documentation for your spouse as well, including your marriage certificate
  • Valid building quotation or Offer to purchase (not older than 1 month)

Then follow the application process

  1. Obtain your latest benefit statement or current fund value from EBS Africa Online
  2. SMS “HOME” to 30752
  3. FNB Consultant to call member within 48 hours and explain process
  4. FNB Consultant to send member a Pre-Approval Form
  5. Member returns Pre-Approval Form to FNB Consultant with supporting documentation
  6. Pre-Approval Form is processed in terms of the National Credit Act & FNB Credit Criteria
  7. Member is advised of outcome within 72 hours
  8. Member will receive a sms stating the reason for the decline, if the application is unsuccessful
  9. If loan is approved, member will receive a contract for signature to forward back to Loan Writer
  10. FNB to email application to Company for signature
  11. FNB to email Fund and/or Fund Administrator for signature
  12. Once consent is received FNB will finalise the application and make payment
